Len Ruth
The 2018 Harleysville Country Fair Days Parade Grand Marshal will be Len Ruth. A native of Harleysville and life-long resident, Len has been active in the community for his entire life.

Len owned and operated a paving company, R. & M. Paving, of Harleysville, for over 35 years.

He was active with coaching Harleysville Little League Baseball, serving as treasurer for many years, and served on the Harleysville Community Center Board for ten years. He was also active with the Souderton High School Football Fifth Quarter Club for over 15 years where he served as treasurer. He served as chairman of the Spruce Lake Retreat Benefit Golf Tournament for several years.

Len has been a charter member of the Harleysville Rotary Club since its inception in 1994. During this time, he supervised the Harleysville Rotary and Harleysville Lions Club’s joint project of developing Reed Park at Ruth and Clemens Roads.

Len and his wife, Esther, continue to play a vital part in their community in Harleysville and are long-time members of Salford Mennonite Church. They cherish time spent with their three sons, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren (with the fifth expected in May). They also enjoy their weekly breakfasts and dinner nights with long-time friends.

Len and his wife enjoy traveling, especially their annual weeks to one of their favorite places, Myrtle Beach. In traveling, they have developed and maintained friendships made during trips. Len continues to enjoy his weekly golf outings and spending time at the family mountain house in Sullivan County.

Please help the Harleysville Jaycees to honor Grand Marshal Len Ruth by attending the Harleysville Country Fair Days Parade on Main Street in Harleysville on Saturday, May 26th. The parade kicks off at 11 AM beginning at Indian Valley Middle School on Maple Avenue.
